|
Heidi was found as a stray in West Central Nebraska, so not much is known about her prior history. She is about a year old and still has some puppy behavior and puppy wonderment at many things, which is fun to experience. Heidi is a very smart girl who is willing to please and is learning rules very quickly. She is a sweetheart! She is house broken, does great in the car, and calms down quickly in a crate. She doesn't bark much unless she sees another dog outside the fence. She requires a lot of exercise, ideally, every day. She is still learning how to walk on a leash and it will take someone with strength to control her until she gets better at this skill. She is very intense when it comes to birds and cats and will try and chase them all which currently makes leash walking a work-out. She did not do well with her first experience with horses. She has gotten along with most dogs she has met if they tolerate her energy level. She does not have a passive personality, nor a pack mentality, so a single pet household would suit her fine. Heidi loves all people and is very excited when meeting them so young children would need to be closely monitored around her as she plays pretty hard and loves to wrestle.
Heidi is being fostered in Nebraska.
