Hey there!  My name is Benny!! I am a young solid black German Shorthair Pointer who loves to be outside with my people and with nature. I'm still in the puppy stage and have lots of energy!!  I am both house and kennel trained and know the basic commands, sit, shake, high five and whoa. I do great on a leash and have good recall.

I attended hunting school, but haven't not shown much interest when a pheasant wing has been presented and my prior family called me "gun shy." I am not a fan of thunderstorms and fireworks and have shown some separation anxiety when left in my kennel for long periods of time during the day. I sleep in my kennel at night, but want to be able to hear and see my people. Is that so much to ask? 

My foster family says I am very smart and a quick learner. In the short time I've been here I've  already been respecting the invisible fence and following commands well. I do great with other dogs and am generally good with children. I do get excited when new people arrive, so they say someone will need some patience to train me not jump on visitors. 

Benny’s ideal forever home is with a family that has the time to exercise him, will continue his obedience training, will provide minimal alone time, and lots of love!!
