About Megan | |

Megan is a very sweet girl who is eager to please. She came in as a stray and is on a feeding schedule to help her gain weight as she is underweight for the breed. Her health is otherwise very good.
Megan currently has 3 human brothers from 1 to 5 years in age and she does great with them. She also lives with 2 GSP's; one is a grumpy 10 year-old male and the other is a playful 2 year-old female. She gets along great with both fur-siblings but prefers to lay around with the 10yr old. She shares food with her fur-siblings nicely but can get excited when her human siblings are eating and try to jump on them.
Megan is curious about cats and other outside animals but does not try to chase or bark at them. She does well on a leash, traveling in the car, and in a crate. Her recall outside is great; she never wants to be too far from you and if she's following a scent and you call her name she comes trotting right back.
Though Megan is small in size, she does not have a timid personality. She is curious and always sniffing around. She prefers to follow around my husband and would sit in his lap all day if she could. She loves a good head and belly scratch.
Megan is currently working on potty training, we are using the bell method because she has a hard time letting us know when she has to go. She gets cold easily so she does her business quickly and runs right back to the door. Her house manners are otherwise pretty good. Megan has some vetting to complete then will be ready to find her forever home. Megan is located in Iowa.
