• Sweet and Cuddly: He enjoys cuddling and forming close bonds with people.

• Intelligent: Dixon has the capacity to learn and adapt quickly. He thrives in an environment with new challenges. 

• Playful, Mischievous and Adventurous: He's full of energy and loves exploring and playing.

• Confident: Dixon is self-assured and approaches new experiences with a positive attitude.

• Fetch: He's a pro at fetch - he hasn’t met a ball he doesn’t want thrown. 

• Gets Along with Other Dogs: Dixon enjoys the company of other dogs and learns from them. He will do best with another active dog in the household to mentor him. 

• High Prey Drive: Dixon has not been around cats or small dogs and animals. While he is a sweet boy, he does have a high prey drive and may not do well with cats and small dogs and animals. 

• Fenced-in Yard: He's accustomed to a spacious, secure area where he can run and play. Dixon is high-energy and requires several hours of play throughout the day. 

• Expert Couch Cuddler: After an active day, he totes his favorite blankie to the couch and enjoys relaxing and snuggling with both his human and dog companions.

• Basic Commands: Dixon is still working on commands like leash training, sit, stay, and wait. He's in the process of learning and needs consistent training.

• House Manners: There's room for improvement in housetraining, counter surfing, and chewing. This is common for puppies and can be addressed with proper training and supervision.

• Ideal Home: Dixon would thrive in an active household with another energetic dog to play with. He'd also do well with a family experienced in handling high-energy breeds who can offer him frequent breaks throughout the day to encourage house training.

• GPPR does not have history on his parents. He was picked up in a hardware store parking lot with seven siblings. 
• He will require a family who can provide training and attend classes if necessary. He will have accidents, may cry in a crate, will chew on things that aren't his, and will need lots of exercise, as all shorthairs do!
• He will have all appropriate vaccinations, be de-wormed, neutered, and microchipped. 
• Dixon is being fostered in Lincoln, NE and his new family may need to travel to pick him up.
