Hi, I'm Aquilo

I am a 2 year old FDSB (field bred) English Pointer who is looking for a new family. Some really nice people neutered me and corrected entropion in both of my eyes last month. I can see so much better now! At my foster home I am learning about house manners, crates, birds, guns, basically all of the things that make a good bird dog and a great best friend. I am great with other dogs. I am quiet in my crate during the night and day provided I get enough exercise. I have a pretty good recall and have started off leash exercise with my foster mom. A 30-60 minute off leash run almost every day keeps me sane. :) Pointers have a reputation for running big but I like to stay with my people and check in frequently to make sure you're keeping up!! 

Aquilo is the Roman god of the north wind, or more humbly, just 'dude'. Don't worry though, I'm not icy... just white as snow. I answer to Quill, Quillo, Aquilo and 'here'. I have a good attitude about everything, even the water bowl is a good reason to wag my tail! I am a little shy to warm up to men but if you give me a few minutes I'll love on everyone. I am a known fence jumper so should not be left outside unsupervised.
