Spencer is making slow but steady progress at learning to trust people, but will need lots of patience, time, and love in his new home. He would thrive best in a home that already has a resident dog who would love a friend, as Spencer’s personality really shines when he gets to play with other dogs.

Spencer is a quiet boy with a deep bark that has only made the rare appearance so far (he occasionally uses a short & quiet “woof” when asking foster mom to please hurry with dinner).

He is not yet 100% house trained, but does well in his crate and should be fully trained before long by continuing to follow a consistent schedule.

Spencer will be a great addition to a home with either no kids or only older kids who understand how to approach him while he learns to trust and grow comfortable with his new family. Because of his past, Spencer would not do well in a loud/busy environment.

He is a very sweet boy who needs very little to be happy.
