Reed is a sweet and handsome 3 year old neutered male. He is kennel and house trained. He is a big boy and has the paws to match! While he does need regular exercise, he is a pretty laid-back guy – he enjoys lounging on the floor/couch/bed and he is always in the mood for a good snuggle. He will pick up a good run outside while exploring, but let’ s just say he isn’t going to win any races!

When Reed first came to us he was a bit timid – he would stay very close to his foster mom and lean on her legs until he felt confident again. After about a week, his personality started to shine through and his confidence is building daily. He still keeps close, but he will now romp with the resident GSP, play with squeaky toys, and explore around outside.

Reed is very good with “sit”, but still needs to work on his “come”, though he is getting better every day. You can definitely tell he has been taught the commands before, he just needs a refresher and consistency.

Reed needs a special food to help manage crystals in his urine, but is otherwise healthy as the horse he resembles. He would do best in a home with either no children or where the children are old enough not to get bowled over. Reed is located near Hastings, MN.
