Hi! My name is Sadie Mae, but usually go by Sadie. I am a spayed female gsp approx. 4 yrs old. I weigh 56.5 lbs. My foster Mom says that I am a beautiful and a very smart young lady. I know a lot of commands already. Some are sit, come, drop and catch. I still need a little work with down, shake, stay and walking on a leash nicely. I am still learning my new name and would prefer to run and play but I learn fast! I do stairs like a pro and I am not food aggressive at all. I am not treat motivated but do enjoy treats of the softer varieties. I am a bit spoiled because I like a couple Tbsp. of canned mixed in with my dry food. My foster Mom says this is OK as I am a rescue and that rescues are " special" and deserve to be spoiled. I have had NO accidents in the house or the crate at night so Mom thinks I am house trained. I do go to the door when I have to go out but not vocal about it. Until you learn my routine, it's best to keep an eye on me unless you really enjoy cleaning.

I go in a crate at night and when my humans are gone. I whine a bit but my foster furry sister comes by and calms me down so I can relax. I have a moderate energy level with an occasional burst of high mixed in. I need a home that has a fenced yard at least 4 ft high as I love to run and investigate. I run and play lots but also have just as many down times and naps. I love car rides and squeaky toys!! I have to admit, I do have a naughty side...I like to counter surf and jump on furniture to look out windows and to take my naps. If chairs are not pushed in, I will climb up to see if you forgot any food on the table. I listen well though if you tell me to get down. To keep me safe, please keep all food and other things that could hurt me out of reach. My foster Mom says that I am worth the extra effort, just ask her!! I love the interaction with my foster family,  human and furry, so a home with both would be ideal for me. My Mom does not yet know if I like cats or small kids. If you are looking for a long term faithful and loving companion, then I am your girl!!
