Hi there, Cisco here.  I’m a funny guy who has been in foster care for many months while I figure out I’m safe and don’t need to be scared all the time. I’m a very shy loudmouth who likes to let the world know I’m a tough guy when, really, I’m not. I’m very cautious around strangers and new stuff but once things are familiar, I’m a pretty normal guy. I like to play with stuffy toys, nosh on chew bones, cuddle with my people, kiss them all over, and steal blankets from their bed. I know how to sit, shake, lay down, and come. I’m trustworthy in the house during the day and I sleep in a crate at night (but would be fine uncrated).  I’m afraid of loud noises and will not make a good hunting companion because gunfire kinda freaks me out. I really, really like to chase rabbits around the yard. That’s some fun stuff, right there!  Even though I’m a timid guy, I’m fabulous at guarding the house with my big bark. Because I have separation anxiety, I would do best in a home where I’m not left alone very long and there are other dogs for me to learn from.  I’ll also need a yard with a physical fence. No lie, my fears have gotten me into some pretty tough spots in the past and my foster mom will be happy to tell you all about it. I take medication for anxiety.  I like most dogs once we’ve been properly introduced but I don’t do well with male dogs that haven’t been neutered.  I’m good with cats that lay on couches but not so good with cats that run like rabbits.  I might not be very patient with small children, but I’m perfectly fine with 10+ once we all get to know each other.  I’m looking for a quiet, low-activity home (though I do likes me some good exercise every day) with someone wants a four-footed shadow. Someone with experience in anxiety and fear-based behaviors would be extra-perfect for me.  I’m super-affectionate with my people and am looking forward to showering my perfect new family with all the love and adoration they can possibly stand.

I’m being fostered in Minnesota.
