Bailey is an eleven month old pointer that came to us with her litter mate Sophie.  When Sophie was adopted, Bailey had a hard time adapting to life without her.  In the past  two weeks, Bailey has been able to find her own personality so here is what she has to offer to some lucky adopter:  She is a happy, active pointer that is still a puppy at heart, so she likes to chew, chew, chew.  We have yet to find a Bailey-proof toy and  a couple of flip flops have jumped into her mouth, but she does not chew on furniture or anything else taboo, so we just keep looking for toys that have a strong survival factor.  She has a sweet, tolerant personality and shows no aggressive traits at all.  She has free roam of the house and has turned the corner this week on being housebroken.  She is great with children, other dogs, horses and the outside cats, including three kittens (that took some coaching!) We have had some strong thunderstorms and got through the Fourth of July fireworks with no negative reaction to the sound or lights from her at all.  Bailey sleeps at the foot of the bed and loves being outside or laying in the front window where she can see any activity in the front yard.  She does fine in a crate with another dog, but does not do well alone.. that may get better as she gets more comfortable in her surroundings.  She likes to be part of the action and just doesn't care for being alone. Bailey would do best in a home with another dog for company, an active family,  or with an owner who can spend alot of time with her throughout the day. Bailey is located in IA.
