Chewie (aka Chewbacca) has been with GPPR for about a month and has come a long way in that time. Chewie loves to play hard and crash hard. His favorite game is keep away and his zoomies are quite entertaining to watch. Chewie is a very energetic 11-month old Wirehaired Pointing Griffon who lived without rules or socialization prior to coming to rescue. Due to this, he will need a breed experienced home who is willing to attend and continue training wi th him. He is also not recommended for young children because of his exuberant energy.
Chewie loves water and plops in the kiddie pool any time he gets a chance. He is an exceptional swimmer in the lake and just an overall goof. It is unlikely he will be a hunter because he can be timid at times. He also likes car rides and snuggling. Chewie still has some bad habits we are working on, but with a loving home and patience we are sure he will be a great companion.
