Sooner is an awesome boy who deserves a wonderful home to retire in!  He was surrendered to a local shelter because his family could no longer afford to feed him.  His 2 other buddies were younger and adopted right away...Sooner came to GPPR after having difficulty adjusting to his life in the shelter.

 Sooner has become very trusting of humans while in foster care.  He takes a little bit to warm up to some males but females and children he loves!  He would do great in a home where children are considerate of his age and him needing his space. Sooner is camera shy but when the camera is gone, he loves to snuggle up and make himself comfy.  Sooner does great with other dogs big and small but he has not been tested with cats.  Sooner also initiates play and acts nothing like an almost 8 year old dog.  He is crate trained, potty trained, and does great in a yard with a 4-5 foot fence.  Sooner would be best in a home with other dogs and cats.  He thrives when there are other dogs he can pal around with.  Sooner is truly one of those seniors that will give you tons of love back.  We hope your home is the right one for this sweet and deserving boy!!!
