Meet Lincoln! Isn’t he the most gorgeous, powdered sugar face ever!!! If you’re ready to give Lincoln the loving family he deserves, you won’t regret it! He is absolutely perfect and has so much love to share with his new family.
Lincoln is very well trained, and he loves consistency. His routine consists of waking up around
6am to go outside, eat, follow his foster Mom around the house, then go back outside before
she goes to work. He is not kenneled during the day, and he sleeps until his foster family gets
home. He prefers to eat around 5pm and if you're running late, he will definitely let you know!
He loves his healthy snacks like bananas, carrots, sweet potatoes, or homemade treats. Lincoln is definitely a counter surfer, but he listens to commands like “pillow”, once you say pillow he will go lay down on his bed. He does prefer to sleep on his bed or on the couch most of the night, covered with a blanket. He is slowly starting to crawl in bed with his foster parents or foster brother.
Lincoln has been very well taken care of in the past and he loves women, but quickly warms
up to men, especially if he gets to play his favorite game of tug of war. He was trained to respond to positive, kind, and firm commands. He has transitioned very well in his foster home with another older male dog. He is very content being lazy with his occasional random moments of spunkiness! Which mostly consists of him spinning very fast in circles!
Lincoln walks well on a leash with very minimal pulling. He will sniff and point at birds, but he does not lunge or try to take off. He will sit at the door and wait patiently until he is told its “okay” to go out or be released after paw cleaning.
He is not fond of going potty in the rain, but he quickly gets his business done. At bath time he
will get into the tub on his own, but he would prefer not too! He doesn’t like his face getting wet
or sprayed, he will try to hide his face from you. His prior owner indicated he cannot swim, so
he may just not like water.
If you’re looking for a calm, easy going, and loving dog, Lincoln is your guy!
