Hi! My name is Miss Rosie and I’m about 1-1/2 years young. My foster family has young kids (3, 5, & 7 yo) and I am really well behaved around them. I am playful but careful and cuddly with them; I sometimes try to steal their snacks but listen when corrected. My foster mom says I have a lot of good habits:

• Great recall outside
• Ride very well in the car
• Mostly potty trained
• Not a barker
• Do not mind baths
• Friendly with new people and dogs
• No issues when the vet was pulling and poking around during my initial exam
• I’m always hunting bugs, frogs, and birds in the back yard, but my foster family recently discovered I am gun shy
• Not a jumper
• Beeper trained
• Only with a foster family because previous owner fell on hard times

She says I have a typical GSP personality: spurts of energy then I cuddle into nap, very goofy, sweet hearted and a bit bullheaded.

She does say I need work in a couple areas:

• I have a dominant personality and have shown signs of resource guarding with other dominant dogs. I play great with dogs of all ages and am respectful of them, but mom has me eat in a separate room so my canine foster brother (who also has a dominant personality) doesn’t bother me
• I also need work on kenneling. I really don’t like the full plastic kind of kennel where I cannot see out, but I can be a bit destructive if I’m left out and get bored
