Howdy, my name is Waylon and I’m a one-year old English Pointer. I am doing awesome at my foster home; but would really like a home to call my own (especially it that house came with a doggy sister or brother). I love to hang out with the humans and the resident dogs at my foster house, me and my foster sister and brothers get a long great.

Right now, I’m learning all sort of new things from my foster family. I came here not knowing any commands and I have mastered sit and gentle so far, but I am still working hard on things like down, stay, and come. I have also even learned that when it’s time to go to bed I need to go in my kennel, lay down, be quiet, and go to sleep. Even though I’m pretty smart my foster mom says it would be good if I got a few formal obedience lessons (just to make sure things stick).

My favorite thing in the entire world is to look out the windows at the park next to my foster house to keep an eye on all the neighborhood bunny rabbits. I also really enjoy hanging out in the backyard searching for squirrels and birds with my foster sister. I also like to walk on a leash around the neighborhood with my foster family and do great, only pulling a little when I get excited. I have also been going on car rides and love to sit in the back and look out the window and watch the world go by. When I get tired from all the excitement I am content to curl up on a dog bed and take a nap. Overall, my foster mom says I’m pretty chill and a total sweetheart.
