Gordon is a 1-1/2 year old English Pointer who has joined Rescue after being sprung from the shelter.  He is good around cats and other dogs. He has not been around small children but his foster parents think that he would do fine as long as he is supervised at first as he is high energy and may accidentally knock them down in his exuberance.  Gordon is gentle (other than his energy level) and knows sit, come and kennel commands.  He is really a sweet, friendly boy who just wants to please his human(s).  He does not jump or bark; loves attention, having his ears scratched and belly rubs.  He will need a an active family to ensure that he gets enough exercise.  Gordon has been hunt tested and works cover well, works within gun range and has a lot of hunting desire.  He listens well, is easy to handle and he has great pointing ability.  He has been exposed to gunfire with no issues.  Gordon still needs to gain a little weight but adoption applications can be submitted now.   He is located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
